Mitel Mobility
As a businessperson you need to be in touch with your customers. The days when it was acceptable to expect someone to leave you a voice mail is quickly fading. Those moments in time from when your telephone rings to the time when you actually talk with your customer or potential customer can be a window of opportunity for you to loose business to your competition.
The problem, of course, is that you need to be away from your desk phone, perhaps in another part of the building or even in another part of the state. When youre not there your phone rings and hopefully this potential customer is willing to leave a voice mail and wait for your call back.
Of course you could always direct calls to your cell phone, either by forwarding your desk telephone to it or by simply publishing your cell phone number. In reality, however, this doesnt work well. If your cell battery goes dead or youre in a dead cell zone, no one can call you. How much business are you potentially loosing?
Mitel has a solution with their Mobility Server. This new application integrates with the Mitel 3300 ICP and SX200 ICP and can route your calls to BOTH your desk phone and any other number at the same time. Now, if youre away from your desk, when your customer calls you, if you are away from your desk, you will still be able to take the call. You no longer have to give your customers your cell phone and desk phone telephone numbers to reach you, you always give out the same number your desk phone. Now all your callers will be able to reach you no matter where you are.
One of the best features of the Mitel Mobility Server is the ability to take a call from your cell phone and pick it up on your desk phone with out having to ask the customer to call back. Simply hit the line on your desk phone and the call is automatically taken off your cell and you are now talking on your desk phone.
Of course one of the obvious questions is What if I answer the call on my cell phone and need to transfer it to another extension? It would be poor customer service if you asked the customer to call another number. Again the Mitel Mobility Server shines in its abilities. To transfer a call from your cell phone to another extension, simply dial a short feature code, the extension number to transfer to and hang up your cell. The call will go wherever you direct it.
Another advantage to only giving one number for your customers to call is that you only have one voice mail to check when someone does leave you a message. Now this message can be transferred intact to others in the company, saved or even emailed. No more checking two voice mails.
In short, if you need close customer interaction and the ability to move around the building, city, state or world, you should take a close look at the Mitel 3300 or Mitel SX200 ICP with the Mitel Mobility Server.
