Article Writing – Writing Articles Loaded With Keywords and Meaty Content Draws Hungry Prospects

Remember the pancakes Hungry Jack’s mother prepared for him? Those hot buttered pancakes with syrup dripping down the sides got Hungry Jack’s attention. He didn’t seem to mind that he nor the pancakes fit inside his mom’s house. He just seemed satisfied that she met his needs.

Article writers can learn a lesson from Hungry Jack. Just as that hungry lumberman was ready to feast on his mom’s pancakes, so are the prospects who come to feast on your words. Satisfy their appetites with meaty content.

Meaty Content Explained

  • Map out your article. Know the points you are going to make and how you are going to present them. Massage your information to ensure that prospects with little, average, or advanced knowledge gain at least one benefit for the time they have invested in reading your articles.
  • Expand your title. Chris Knight of EzineArticles says, “If you want your articles to reach “high interest” status, in most cases this means expanding the length of your article title by 30-45% more.” Good article writers know that keywords are a great way to expand their titles.

    When asked to explain Chris’ statement, Jeff Herring said, “Article writers are given 100 characters for titles. The more words in a title, the better because search engines have more words to search.” Jeff also said, “The longer your title, the more opportunity you have to use keywords.”

  • Anticipate the growth of your prospects. Jeff Herring constantly tells his mentees to think through the next steps their prospects need to take. He says that article writers must be proactive in providing useful information for their prospects.
  • Teach to enlighten, explain or develop prospects. Remember that prospects are seeking to fulfill the following needs: make money, save money, save time, avoid pain, or seek pleasure. Make sure that your articles are addressing one of these needs and your prospects will be satisfied.
  • Yield to the desires of your prospects. Resist the temptation to exalt yourself in the body or resource box of your articles. Dazzle your prospects with your expertise and the way you simplify it, making it easy for them to understand. They will appreciate you far more for helping them than forcing them to read about how great you are.

Saturating your title, body, and resource box with keywords attracts prospects. Letting them feast on meaty content when reading your articles ensures they will come back for more. Be like Hungry Jack’s mother. Satisfy the needs of your prospects.

Here’s another tip. Serve different dishes to your prospects – use writing templates.
